Moose on the Run

5k and 10k

Please join us for the 24th Annual Moose on the Run.

When / Date & Time:

Both 5k and 10k will begin simultaneously at 9:00 AM on Saturday October 10th, 2026.

Where / Location:

The Start / Finish hub is located at Greenville Consolidated School, 130 Pritham Ave, Greenville, Maine 04441

Runners and walkers are encouraged

5k race is 1 lap of the race course.

10k runners will run 2 laps of the race course.

The Moosehead Marathon team is now hosting this event in 2026 and will bring it back to the Moosehead region in perfect time for a fall foliage run / walk. The 5k and the 10k will both start simultaneously at 9am from the Greenville Schools, with both races bringing you through Greenville Junction along a picturesque Moosehead course. Runners and walkers are both encouraged to participate.

Bib and Swag Pickup:

Firday October 9th, 2026 (day before race): Pick up your bib and Swag at Greenville Consolidated School, located at: 130 Pritham Ave, Greenville, Maine 04441 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Race Day: You can also pick up your bib and official race “swag” on race day morning starting at 7:30 AM.

Kids Fun Run:

Time & Date: Stayed turned for next year.

Distance: Once around the high school track (maybe twice, depending on the ages of the children)

Cost: $5 each (can be paid in cash in person on race day)

*All proceeds from this Fun Run will go to benefit the Greenville Recreation Department

The Moosehead Marathon will be hosting a Kids Fun Run the morning of the marathon at 8am. This is a fun way to bring the little ones into the excitement of running on race day. The distance will most likely be once around the high school track (maybe twice, depending on the ages of the children). Cost to participate is $5 each, and can be paid in cash in person on race day. All proceeds from this Fun Run will go to benefit the Greenville Recreation Department. This event will happen at the same Start / Finish hub as the marathon. There is no need to pre-register for the Kids Fun Run.
